Fashion nowadays consists of constant in and out trends, but one that always seems to make its way back round the vicious circle is embellishments and embroidery, both of which I love. This statement trend has hit the fashion industry massively over the past couple of months, its on every websites ‘trending‘ page and it regularly pops up on my Instagram feed.
See, trends like this I love, because they are so versatile and when they seem to become less ‘popular’ or ‘out of fashion‘ you can always rely that they will come back around again, so fashion pieces don’t go to waste. Something which I found really different and actually quite beautiful is embellishments on jeans. It’s something I’ve never heard of before let alone would wear myself, but it seems to be becoming quite a hit in the fashion world and each day I see more and more brands bringing them out.
The jeans I have recently purchased, I cannot get over how stunning the detailing on them is and they are exactly what I have been searching for, for a while. What I love the most about these mid rise, washed out blue jeans is the raw hem at the bottom, this is something I have been loving recently, I love the look of the jeans looking ‘unfinished‘ and I find I can wear so many different pairs of shoes with them. This pair of trousers have a mix of diamonds and pearls stitched from a 3rd way down the leg, back and front which finish at the raw hem. I find them to be such a statement piece in my wardrobe, only purchasing them a few weeks ago I have utterly fell in love with the way they look with so many different outfits.
I paired these jeans with these gorgeous loafers, which of course have embroidery stitched along the front of the shoe. I have seen so many people wearing all types of versions of these loafers, and dare I say it, they do make a great dupe for world renowned Gucci staples. Loafers are something I had never tried before, I always thought they would look funny on me because I am quite tall, but I have actually really grown to love them however, I can’t say the same for my mum (she calls them my witches shoes, Lol). The no back to the shoe eliminates the nasty blister stage you get when wearing in new shoes which is always a plus for me!!
To complete this smart/casual look I paired the jeans with a stunning over-sized floaty shirt from Cameo Rose (sold in New Look). The petite pinstripes, and printed flowers I thought it complemented the embroidery on the shoes perfectly. Then of course, to break down the contrast of blue in the whole outfit (because, there seems to be a lot of it) a staple black and white bag was thrown into the mix.
