My Skincare Saviours

Skincare has always been a vital part within my daily routine. Starting from the age of around 10 my nan always used to tell me how important it was to make sure you look after the skin your in and I always took her advice on board as she looked fantastic at the age of 60, I would be chuffed if I looked like that at her age.

For reference my skin is normal to slightly on the dry side, I am lucky enough not to suffer with any major skin issues as I only get the minor spot when it’s that time of the month. I love using products on my skin that are very hydrating as my skin feels at its best when I’ve given it a boost of moisture.

Liz Earle is the first company my nan introduced me to, all their products are made from natural ingredients and I have found for years that this has always worked for my skin. This brand has made quite the impression on my family as me, my mum and my aunty all use it. The cleanse and polish cleanser is a dry cleanser, this can be wiped across a face full of makeup and it gently breaks down all the dirt which is super easy to remove (it also removes waterproof mascara). The gentle exfoliator is a diamond product, I tend to use this 1-2 times a week depending on how dry my skin feels, this creates such a clean and smooth canvas on your face and literally makes your face feel like a baby’s bum!! I take a small cotton pad with the instant boost toner and smooth this over my face after cleansing, this closes the pores and removes any excess dirt that may be hiding. (This is also great to use in the morning too).

Kiehl’s is one of my cult favourites, and let me be the first to tell you the price is worth paying for. Kiehl’s is a brand I had heard so many people, especially bloggers/youtuber’s rave about forever, so when I bit the bullet and finally purchased my first product from them which was the Midnight Recovery Serum I fell in love. I put this serum on before bed and let my skin drink it up whilst I am sleeping, it really gives my skin that boost of hydration it craves and is especially good during the summer months or on holiday.

My skin can be slightly funny about moisturisers, lets just say it doesn’t like change. The amount of different moisturisers I have tried in the past but my skin always seems to find something wrong with them, they are either not moisturising enough or they are too heavy and make my face feel very oily (which is unheard of for me). My Ultra Facial Cream is honestly one of my holy grail products that I couldn’t live without now.

My eye cream is a slightly new addition to my routine, I had never heard of this brand before but I was kindly gifted this product at a blogger event I went to back in April. I use this everyday and I have been in love with it since giving it a go. I found all my other eye creams weren’t as hydrating as this one is. I have very dry under eyes which makes creasing of my makeup in that area really hard to deal with, so when I find something that boosts the radiance and complexion of my skin, it’s always a keeper.

The final 2 products I have to share with you are toners. I find toners so important in a skincare routine because they give me that really fresh, clean feeling. One I picked up a little while ago is from Pixi, their iconic ‘Glow Tonic’ this product is gorgeous and what I love about it most is that it gently exfoliates your skin while you wipe it across your face which leaves your skin feeling so soft. If you know me personally then you know I would leave the best till last which is my skin saviour the Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray. I love this stuff, no word of a lie I probably spray this on my face 15 times a day (ask my boyfriend) haha. This stuff not only smells amazing but it feels beautiful on the skin, and rose water is meant to be incredible for the skin.

Let me know your skincare favourites!!
