What’s your Technic?

I don’t know about you, but I love drugstore makeup. Finding those little gems that start to become a makeup routine staple is always exciting. It’s fair to say that in the past I have been swayed by aesthetically pleasing packing and the online hype of certain high end/luxury makeup items however, its so nice knowing that a lot more of the affordable brands are stepping up their game.

When I was contacted by Technic Cosmetics a few weeks ago and they asked me if I wanted to try out some of their products, I couldn’t say no!! They kindly sent me over 5 base products and a lip kit to try out and test.

Let’s start with base, this is my favourite part to apply in the mornings!! Believe it or not I have never owned a cream contour kit, I know right, ridiculous!! So when I saw one in the hamper of goodies I received I was extremely keen to try it out!! Being a first timer with a cream contour kit I was a little apprehensive. My normal routine is my Clinique Contour Chubby Stick, which has been a staple in my routine for as long as I can remember, so I was determined to take on the challenge of a whole cream kit, hopefully this little treasure can save me my pennies in the bank!!

I used the cream with a small flat concealer brush, when first swatching my brush in the product it felt slightly thick which I was a little nervous about, purely for the difficulty in blending. The kit made me eat my words and it blended beautifully, I was shook!! It didn’t cake up my foundation, nor become patchy when blending and it actually came to a pretty nice colour which matched my fake tan great (for my fake tan lovers our there).

The powder contour kit was exactly the same, beautiful colour range (would really suit the fairer skinned girls). The powder had slight fall out in the pan but nothing to worry about when blending it on the face, it still looked amazing!!

Bronzer, one of my favourite makeup products!! I love ‘trying’ to make myself look like a glowing goddess, however I never quite seem to get the exact same look as Jennifer Lopez sadly (anyone else feel me?) Still, the compact bronzer gave me that warm summer glow that I always look for.

Lights, Camera, Highlight. This is my motto for life, I am telling you!! I get way too excited when finding a decent highlight and these definitely fall into this category. An elegant touch of glow to brighten up my look (and cheekbones). The campaign shade is so radiant and makes me look alive (even when I’m half asleep after rolling out of bed). As for the ‘Pink Sparkle’, this is going to be amazing for the festival season. Instead of a glow this gives off such a pretty shimmer and is more like a glitter compact (who doesn’t love glitter?)

Nudes galore!! My favourite shade (yes, I know I’m boring) but its an essential, a girl can never have too many nude lipsticks in her drawers. This lip kit consists of 6 lovely, light to deep nude shades, some with slightly pink tones whereas others with more neutral. What I love about lip kits is you can customise and mix shades to create your own unique tint. This is what I did. The 6 shades come in a mix of glossy and matte finishes. On a day to day basis I love a good matte lip, but when I am feeling extra sassy, gloss is the way forward!!

Overall, I was super impressed with the Technic Cosmetics I tested. I was so shocked at the quality of the products, especially for the price. Technic can be found on a range of websites such as, BodyCare, PrettyLittleThing and Amazon. Shop the products I have used today below.
